Studio Akkino

The renowned photographer Alexander Straulino and the visual artist Akke Martiene Visschers joined forces under the name STUDIO AKKINO. Their distinguishing mark are their ‚overprints’. After portraying and printing, analog techniques are performed on the print, whereafter a new picture is captured. This digital-analog journey depicts different structures and effects on the prints, which gives the picture a completely different, new face. A very artistic, authentic work-way where both artist's years of experience merge and manifest. In combination with their recognizable light work, this leads to outstanding, distinctive results.

When the war started in Ukraine, the duo wanted to do something about it. They already had created a website with Vsbel, but wanted to add a shop quickly to sell printed t-shirts and to donate the proceedings to support Ukraine.
